Let's Get Into the Details

Tallow is the pure, unadulterated goodness left behind after patiently simmering suet, which is the fatty tissue surrounding an animal’s organs, particularly the kidneys and loins. At Hickory Road Natural Products we utilize cow tallow, which is obtained by slowly heating the fat to separate impurities and water, resulting in a nutrient-dense solid or semi-solid substance that is rich in fatty acids. Tallow has been used for centuries in skincare as tallow boasts moisturizing properties and is packed with vitamins and minerals that benefit skin health. Tallow can provide several benefits due to its unique composition: Moisturizing properties: Tallow contains a mix of saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, making it an effective emollient that helps lock in moisture and soothe dry skin. Emollience: Tallow's fatty acid profile can help fill gaps between skin cells, making it appear smoother and softer. Natural barrier function: Tallow's fatty acids can help restore the skin's natural barrier function, protecting it from environmental stressors and supporting its natural hydration. Skin nourishment: Tallow contains vitamins A, D, E, and K, as well as conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), which have antioxidant properties and can promote skin health.

We carefully craft our products by combining rendered and purified tallow with moisturizing olive oil. This perfect blend enhances the product's spreadability, making it effortless to apply and deeply nourish your skin. Since our Whipped Tallow Body Butter is free from preservatives, we recommend using it within 6 months to experience its full, velvety smoothness. While the rendered and purified tallow offers a longer shelf life at room temperature, the olive oil component highlights the importance of timely usage for maximum effectiveness and freshness. To help extend the life of your Whipped Tallow Body Butter, it is best to keep at or below room temperature and be sure to use clean and dry hands when applying. By following these simple tips, you'll be able to enjoy the long-lasting benefits of our Whipped Tallow Body Butter and keep your skin beautifully nourished and hydrated.

Typically, a standard 4-fl.ounce jar may last about 1 to 2 months with daily use, assuming a moderate amount is applied each time. If you use more or less product, this timeframe will vary accordingly.

Your skin indeed deserves the same level of attention as other essential maintenance tasks. Subscribing to a regular supply of whipped tallow body butter can help maintain a consistent skincare routine, ensuring the skin stays hydrated and nourished. It's a thoughtful touch to offer a subscription service, allowing customers to prioritize their skin's needs alongside other regular maintenance appointments.
